Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)

Plot: Laura and Martin have been married for four years. They seem to be the perfect, happiest and most successful couple. The reality of their house- hold, however, is very different. Martin is an abusive and brutally obsessed husband. Laura is living her life in constant fear and waits for a chance to escape. She finally stages her own death, and flees to a new town and new identity. But when Martin finds out that his wife is not dead he will stop at nothing to find and kill her.

I need some urgent help with my friendship?
sorry it is long please read. 5 years ago I went to work for a local company where I meet this guy he is 4 years younger than me. I am male we both were married and both went through a divorse. His wife accused me of trying to get him fired so he would not want to be friends. We finally got that straight now he is seeing a lady who he married las year they have been having problems and seoerated I was there to console him over the weekend he even told her I was there well today he said she accused him of sleeping with me which is not true. We argued and he said the friendship is over he would not lose his wife. This is the same wife that last year physically abused him and even broke his arm. I am mad angry and pissed He went from telling his family Saturday that I am his bestfriend the first friend he has had in 7 years now I am his enemy. How can I get him to see she is wrong and save our friendship
I tried to get him to understand but he loves her so much I even told him things she accused him of in the past knowing it would hurt him and all he said is he will get to the bottom. He told me Saturday night she told him the only way she will take him back is if he gave up drinking and ended our friendship
just convince him. tell him what she said isn’t true, and make it up to him. make him realize it’s not true, and tell him your feelings. tell him you wouldn’t do anything like that and be honest about everything.

"No Mercy" is on the Soundtrack for the movie No Mercy "1986" i believe is the year.
