Volkswagon Passat 2003?
Hello,
I am in the process of buying a 2003 VW passat comfort line. I got a mechanic to take a look at it and his only concern was that the chassis number could not be displayed on the windscreen. There is a black sticker with a chassis number on the engine but can anyone tell me where the chassis number plate should be onthis model
or where else it would be stamped?
Thanks a lot!

Can the govt break up the big monopolistic health insurance companies using antitrust legislation?
According to a study by the AMA, the insurance companies are virtually monopolies:

I wish. It would create massive competition which would drive the prices down

They are monopolies. but what would a GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER of all of them be, other than a one owner bigger monopoly?
sirheinsohn | Dec 06, 2009
My company offers over ten different health companies’ products.
All different, all seemingly excellent. At least the ones I’ve used.
There are different choices each state I’ve had insurance.
That is hardly monopolistic when one has such a large selection
with such a difference in price and coverage.

I really Hope So . They have become Monsters .

Funny how everyone suddenly has an idea now that it is obvious that the bill is gonna pass.
brown9500v13 | Dec 06, 2009
Yes. But it’s hard to pass anti-trust legislation. You pretty much need to convince the nation that these companies are a threat to the economy and are evil and by looking at recent polls, that will be a hard fight.
Captain Beast | Dec 06, 2009
No. Most are non-profit companies and many of the "monopolies" are due to various state laws that limit who may sell insurance within a given state..

Insurance companies don’t need mirrored glass high rise buildings decorated out to the max. they need to conserve money. They can process claims in a pole barn.
Old School MC | Dec 06, 2009
The government creates them! That’s what the government does.
O'Ryan | Dec 06, 2009
No, but they can do it by repealing Medicare, Medicaid, and the HMO act. Those are what created the health insurance company monopolies. Monopolies are impossible under free market capitalism. They are antithetical to competition.
extremist | Dec 06, 2009
These giant evil monopolies you people wine about support the current health care legislation in the Senate because they will be subsidized by the government and all of a sudden have 30-47million people forced into it. If you actually attempt to understand the bill you will see the monopolies this corporatism will lead to.

I sure hope so. We pay $900.00 / month for our family policy. We have only met our deductible once in 12 years. Yet, our premiums continue to go up. I feel robbed and resentful, but have no choice to continue to pay them, or be uninsured.
? ? ? | Dec 06, 2009
They should be able to, unfortunately these monopolies have more real control over our government than any group of individuals.
Craig | Dec 06, 2009
anti trust laws are an excellent idea in all industries
buzz | Dec 06, 2009
I do not think so, sorry. Which in some ways, is a shame.

 Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
IMDB rating: 3.80
Plot: Tom Green plays Gord Brody, a slacker who dreams of becoming an animator for cartoon shows. He is forced to move back in with his parents, but then refuses to leave. Along the way, he sexually pleasures various farm animals, licks open flesh wounds, accuses his father of molesting his brother, goes scuba diving in a toilet, plays an organ with several sausages attached to it which are suspended in midair, and does a bunch of other stuff that is too insane, offensive, disgusting, or weird to be mentioned here.
